EDMONTON HAIR TRANSPLANT

Hair Transplants In Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

  • Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)

FUE is a modern hair transplantation technique that involves  harvesting the grafts gently and carefully one at a time and then meticulously placing them at the correct angle and orientation in the recipient sites. This is the most common technique and is best suited for clients worried about having a linear scar from an FUT procedure, who want to wear their hair short or whose scalp is too tight for strip harvesting. The procedure is usually done in over one day or two days if large number of grafts are needed. FUE in our clinic is done under local anesthesia and with the use of analgesia. Pain is none to slight in most cases. A few of the potential side effects are redness, swelling, temporary numbness on the areas treated among others.

  • Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT)

Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT), also known as strip harvesting, is another hair transplant method where a strip of hair is removed from the scalp and then divided into follicular units that can be implanted in the recipient sites. Dr Moussa will advise you if this procedure is best for you. This procedure is done under local anesthesia and with the use of analgesics.

IS PRP FOR HAIR LOSS RIGHT FOR ME?

PRP for hair loss might be a good choice for you if:

  • Your hair loss is relatively recent
  • PRP doesn’t work as well when the hair follicles have already been dormant for many years.
  • You have thinning or wispy hair
  • Your hair loss is due to stress or sudden illness
  • PRP is noted for its concentrated healing factors. If your hair loss is from stress or a sudden illness, PRP may help.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS FROM PRP FOR HAIR LOSS?

Look for results between three and six months after treatment. However, keep in mind that many factors can affect when results appear and how pronounced they are. These factors include sex, age, hormonal balance, blood flow, and more.
